Audubon Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary

The Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, owned by the Audubon Society, is a premier birding location here in Southwest Florida.  The over two mile boardwalk takes the visitor through various types of swamp environments including wonderfully preserved old-growth bald cypress trees.  The visitor center is terrific with a small eating area and spectacular prints of birds by Dennis Goodman.  Great facilities, ample parking and knowledgeable guides and docents on the boardwalk to assist you.  Don't miss the painted bunting feeder and the chance to get a picture of this colorful bird.
