Bird Rookery Swamp Trailhead and the eight miles of trails and boardwalk are a haven for red shouldered hawks (a nest right near the parkinglot), Swallowtail kites at the right time of year and of course many woodpecker in the pine and cedar forest and swamp. The water hole offers the typical Florida wading birds. There are primitive facilities available.
